You must've heard of power words. They're words that grab our attention, make us imagine, and help us take action faster. Let's look at 3 crucial types of power words.
Power words that communicate an effortless solution.
If you have an offer that doesn't require any time or effort, how about you communicate that major benefit? Here are a couple examples:
The most uncomplicated way to...
The straightforward guide to...
Achieve X in less than...
Here's a friendly reminder to not BS people. Cause not all solutions are effortless. And they can still be damn good.
But if it doesn't take much time and/or effort, communicate it properly with these power words. Don't like these? Google "sloth power words" and you'll find a lot more options.
Power words that boost trust and conversions.
If the reader doesn't trust you, they won't buy from you. Duh. It's obvious, I know. But people don't always communicate that properly in their copy. Here are a couple power words that boost your readers' trust:
Guaranteed
Reliable
Moneyback
Honest
Proven
Authentic
Of course, don't just throw them around. Use them when applicable. Is it a proven method you're selling? Great, communicate that. Can you guarantee something? Tell that to your readers. And what if it doesn't happen, will you give them their money back? Don't forget to mention that in your copy.
Ditch overused adjectives for power words that make us imagine.
Let's immediately do a couple examples:
Boring: Experience the beautiful view from the rooftop bar.
Better: Experience the breathtaking view from the rooftop bar.
Boring: Party the night away with a pretty party dress.
Better: Party the night away with a stunning party dress.
Don't these words make you imagine the place/situation a little better than "pretty" or "beautiful"?
Warning no. 1: Pick one or two power words to avoid overdoing it in your message.
Warning no. 2: If you're from the UK, Imma say you can skip using "lovely" cause it's overused over there, isn't it? Otherwise, you're good to go.
